Aluma Tray flatbeds for Scout campers
Scout Campers builds lightweight truck campers. Scout is named on the current Aluma Tray site as a compatible brand.

Scout camper flatbed fit starts with the truck
Scout Campers builds hard wall and pop-up campers around an aluminum exoskeleton and no-wood composite panels. Part of the range is built for half ton trucks.
That matters here, because Aluma Tray only builds flatbeds for full size 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks. We do not build for half tons or midsize trucks. So the Scout camper flatbed question starts as a truck question: is it a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton, and what box does it have?
If the truck is right, the tray follows the box. A short box takes the 6.75', a long box takes the 8', and a 1 ton chassis cab at 60 inch cab to axle takes the HD-60. Find your truck on the Ford F-250 and F-350, Ram 2500 and 3500 or Chevy and GMC HD pages.
Then the camper. Send us its floor dimensions and its weight, and we confirm the fit in writing.
A slide-in camper can be mounted on a flatbed. Side storage boxes fill the gap on each side of the camper. How a Scout camper mounts to the tray is something to work out with your dealer, or with Scout when you place the camper order.
Moving a Scout up from a half ton to a 3/4 ton or 1 ton? Run the payload numbers before you buy the truck. The payload on the door jamb sticker has to cover the tray, the camper loaded for a trip, and everything else you carry. The truck camper flatbed guide walks through that math.

Fitment
Which Aluma Tray suits a Scout camper
We hold no Scout to tray chart. Once the truck is right, the camper's floor size and weight are what we check, and we answer that per camper.
What we can confirm
Camper specific kits
Nothing on our 2026 options sheet is cut for Scout campers. The tray and its standard options are what you would be working with.

Questions
Fitment questions
Which Aluma Tray fits a short box truck?
The Aluma Tray 6.75' replaces the bed on a 3/4 ton or 1 ton short box truck. It is rated to 3,000 lbs evenly distributed and comes with four locking under-deck boxes.
Which Aluma Tray fits an 8 foot long box truck?
The Aluma Tray 8' replaces the bed on a 3/4 ton or 1 ton long box truck. It carries the same 3,000 lb rating as the 6.75' and adds a 25 inch front bulkhead option.
Which Aluma Tray fits a chassis cab?
The Aluma Tray HD-60 and HD-60-HC both fit 1 ton chassis cabs with a 60 inch cab to axle measurement. Both are rated to 5,000 lbs evenly distributed and include their front bulkhead in the starting price. For an 84 inch cab to axle chassis, see the HD-84. Its price, weight and load rating are published once the factory signs them off.
Will an Aluma Tray fit my camper?
Most hard side slide-in and flatbed campers can run on an Aluma Tray, but fit depends on the camper, not just the truck. Talk to us or an authorized dealer with your camper make, model and dimensions before ordering.
Do I need anything extra if my truck is a dually?
Yes. Dual rear wheel trucks require the dually fender extension kit at $2,268 USD, which includes fenders, a stair mount extender and a set of jack extensions for the front jacks. It is available on the 8', HD-60 and HD-60-HC. It also works well on a single wheel conversion running wider MPT tires.
Can a Scout camper go on an Aluma Tray if it rides on a half ton now?
Only once it is on a full size 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck. Aluma Tray does not build flatbeds for half ton or midsize trucks. On the right truck, send us the camper's dimensions and weight and we confirm the fit in writing.
