Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD flatbed

The Silverado and Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD are 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks, which is exactly what an Aluma Tray is built for. The two share a chassis, so they take the same flatbed. Your box length picks the model.

Starting prices are MSRP for the flatbed. Nothing on this page is a build total. Required items are priced separately below because they depend on your truck.

Not sure which box you have? Measure the box floor from the bulkhead to the inside of the tailgate and send us the number. We confirm the flatbed in writing before you order.

The cab and the drivetrain don't change the flatbed either. Regular cab, extended cab or crew cab, 4x4 or 2WD: the box length decides.

Chevy Silverado 2500HD short bed flatbed

A Chevy 2500 flatbed for the short box is the Aluma Tray 6.75' short bed flatbed. It fits the Silverado 2500HD and the GMC Sierra 2500HD short box, and the single rear wheel 3500HD short box too. It is rated to 3,000 lbs evenly distributed and starts at $11,819 USD.

The Silverado 2500 flatbed and the GMC Sierra 2500 flatbed are the same tray, because the two trucks share a chassis. If you are shopping for a flatbed for a GMC 2500 or a GMC Sierra 2500HD flatbed, everything on this page applies.

On the long box, the Chevy Silverado 2500 flatbed is the Aluma Tray 8', rated to 3,000 lbs evenly distributed and from $12,879 USD.

The 6.75' is single rear wheel only. The dually fender kit is not offered on it.

Chevy 3500 dually flatbed

A Chevy 3500 flatbed on dual rear wheels needs the dually fender kit, $2,268 USD. It is available on the 8', HD-60, and HD-60-HC and not on the 6.75'.

A flatbed for a Chevy 3500 dually with the 8 foot long box is the 8' Chevy dually flatbed plus the kit. The GMC 3500 dually flatbed is the same answer. A dually 3500HD chassis cab at 60 inch cab to axle takes the Aluma Tray HD-60 plus the kit. Gas or Duramax, a dually flatbed is the same tray. Only the fuel kit changes.

On a single rear wheel 3500HD, no fenders. The Chevy flatbed 3500 choice then follows the box: 6.75' short box, 8' long box, HD-60 chassis cab. The 8' is rated to 3,000 lbs evenly distributed and the HD-60 is rated to 5,000 lbs evenly distributed.

GMC Sierra truck bed replacement

An Aluma Tray is a full GMC Sierra truck bed replacement, and a Silverado truck bed replacement too. The factory box comes off and a Chevy Silverado flatbed or GMC Sierra flatbed goes on in its place, isolated from the chassis with powder coated steel mounts and urethane bushings. Aluminum doesn't rust, and it keeps the weight down.

What a GMC Sierra truck bed replacement costs is a set of line items, not one number. The aluminum flatbed for a Chevy 3500 or 2500 starts at $11,819 USD for the 6.75', $12,879 USD for the 8' and $17,820 USD for the HD-60. On top of that: the tray to chassis mounting kit at $1,166, the fuel kit priced by your engine, a front bulkhead from $3,329 on the 6.75' and 8', and dually fenders if you run dual rear wheels. Your dealer quotes the installation.

The fuel and DEF fills move into the bulkhead so you fill from the deck, and DOT LED lighting and a trailer plug with a 4 and 7 pin connector are standard.

If your Silverado or Sierra has rear parking sensors in the factory bumper, the rear sensor bar ($398) is confirmed for Ford and Ram only. On a GM truck there is no guarantee your parking and backup sensors will work with the flatbed, so sort that out with your dealer before you order.

Silverado and Sierra 3500HD chassis cab flatbed

A Silverado or Sierra 3500HD chassis cab at 60 inch cab to axle takes the Aluma Tray HD-60 chassis cab flatbed. It is rated to 5,000 lbs evenly distributed and starts at $17,820 USD with the bulkhead included. Here is how to measure cab to axle before you order.

Building around an OEV High Country camper? The Aluma Tray HD-60-HC is the chassis cab flatbed made for it.

On a Chevy 3500 flatbed with a diesel, the only thing the engine changes is the fuel kit: $290 gas, $290 diesel without DEF, $542 diesel with DEF. A Duramax with DEF takes the diesel with DEF kit. See every option on aluminum flatbed prices.

What every build needs

The starting price is the flatbed on its own. These items are priced by your truck, so they sit as their own line items.

  • Fuel kit$290 gas, $290 diesel without DEF, $542 diesel with DEFPriced by truck
  • Dually fendersOnly if your truck is dual rear wheel$2,268

If your truck is dual rear wheel

The dually fender extension kit is required on a dual rear wheel truck. It is available on the 8', HD-60 and HD-60-HC. It is not offered on the 6.75', so talk to us first if you run a dually short box.

Bulkheads

The 6.75' and 8' need a front bulkhead, priced separately. The HD-60 includes its 7 inch bulkhead in the starting price. See all options and pricing.

Next question

Will your camper work on it?

Your truck picks the flatbed. Your camper is a separate question, and it depends on the camper's footprint and weight rather than the brand. Most hard side slide-in and flatbed campers run on an Aluma Tray.

Questions

Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD flatbed questions

Which Aluma Tray fits a Chevy Silverado 2500HD?

The Aluma Tray 6.75' fits a Silverado 2500HD with a short box and the Aluma Tray 8' fits one with an 8 foot long box. Both are rated to 3,000 lbs evenly distributed and come with four locking under-deck storage boxes and a Rhino Lined deck. A GMC Sierra 2500HD takes the same flatbed.

Which Aluma Tray fits a Silverado or Sierra 3500HD?

It depends on the configuration. A 3500HD with a short box takes the Aluma Tray 6.75', a 3500HD with an 8 foot long box takes the Aluma Tray 8', and a 3500HD chassis cab with a 60 inch cab to axle measurement takes the Aluma Tray HD-60. The HD-60 is rated to 5,000 lbs and includes its 7 inch bulkhead.

Is the flatbed different for a GMC Sierra and a Chevy Silverado?

No. The Silverado HD and Sierra HD share a chassis, so the same Aluma Tray fits both. What changes the tray is the box length and whether the truck is a chassis cab, not the badge on the grille.

How much does a flatbed for a Silverado or Sierra HD cost?

Starting prices are $11,819 USD for the 6.75', $12,879 USD for the 8' and $17,820 USD for the HD-60. Every build also needs a tray to chassis mounting kit at $1,166 and a fuel kit priced by your engine, and the 6.75' and 8' need a front bulkhead starting at $3,329. All pricing is USD.

Do I need dually fenders on a 3500HD?

Only if your 3500HD is a dual rear wheel truck. The dually fender extension kit is $2,268 USD and includes fenders, a stair mount extender and a set of jack extensions for the front jacks. It is available on the 8', HD-60 and HD-60-HC, and it is not offered on the 6.75'.

Will an Aluma Tray fit my camper?

Most hard side slide-in and flatbed campers can run on an Aluma Tray, but fit depends on the camper, not just the truck. Talk to us or an authorized dealer with your camper make, model and dimensions before ordering.

Will a flatbed fit my Silverado or Sierra short bed?

Yes. The Aluma Tray 6.75' fits the Silverado 2500HD, Sierra 2500HD and single rear wheel 3500HD short box. It is rated to 3,000 lbs evenly distributed and starts at $11,819 USD. It is a single rear wheel flatbed: the dually fender kit is not offered on the 6.75', so talk to us first if your short box truck is on dual rear wheels.

What happens to the fuel filler on a Silverado or Sierra HD flatbed?

You fill at the bulkhead instead. Every Aluma Tray has the fuel and DEF fills built into the bulkhead, so you fill from above the deck. The fuel kit is a required item and it is priced by your engine: $290 gas, $290 diesel without DEF, $542 diesel with DEF.

Can I keep my hitch on a Silverado or Sierra HD flatbed?

Yes. Your truck's factory hitch receiver stays the same and stays intact when the flatbed goes on. It only changes if you arrange something different with your dealer.

Does a crew cab or 4x4 Silverado or Sierra HD need a different flatbed?

No. Regular Cab, Double Cab or Crew Cab, 4x4 or 2WD, the flatbed is the same. The box length decides: the short box takes the Aluma Tray 6.75' and the 8 foot long box takes the Aluma Tray 8'.
