Common questions
What is an Aluma Tray?
An Aluma Tray is an aluminum flatbed that replaces your truck's factory bed so you can carry a slide-in or flatbed truck camper. Every model is CNC cut and formed from high strength aluminum, powder coated, and finished with a Rhino Lined deck. They are built by Lite Industries in Red Deer, Alberta.
Which trucks does an Aluma Tray fit?
Aluma Trays fit full size 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks, plus 1 ton chassis cabs with a 60 inch cab to axle measurement. The 6.75' replaces a short box, the 8' replaces a long box, and the HD-60 and HD-60-HC mount to a 60 inch cab to axle chassis. For an 84 inch cab to axle chassis, see the HD-84. We do not make trays for midsize trucks.
How much does an Aluma Tray cost?
Starting prices are $11,819 USD for the 6.75', $12,879 for the 8', $17,820 for the HD-60 and $19,075 for the HD-60-HC. Every build also needs a tray to chassis mounting kit at $1,166 and a fuel kit priced by your truck, and the 6.75' and 8' need a front bulkhead, which starts at $3,329. All pricing is USD. The HD-84 has no published price yet.
How much weight can an Aluma Tray carry?
The 6.75' and 8' are rated to 3,000 lbs evenly distributed. The HD-60 and HD-60-HC are rated to 5,000 lbs evenly distributed. Those ratings assume the load is spread across the deck, not concentrated in one spot.
What is the lead time on an Aluma Tray?
Typical lead time is about 8 weeks. Talk to your dealer or to us directly for current build slots, because lead time moves with order volume.
Does the Aluma Tray come with a warranty?
Yes. Every Aluma Tray carries a one year limited base warranty and a three year limited structural warranty from Lite Industries. You must register the warranty within 30 days of purchase for coverage to activate, and the warranty covers personal use only.
Will a short bed flatbed fit my truck?
It will if your truck is a full size 3/4 ton or 1 ton with a short box. The Aluma Tray 6.75' replaces the factory short box on the Ford F-250 and F-350, Ram 2500 and 3500, and Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD. We do not build flatbeds for midsize trucks.
Is the bulkhead included on the 6.75'?
No. On the 6.75' the front bulkhead is priced separately, and you choose from 3 options starting at $3,329 USD. Every option is listed with its own price in the pricing section above.
